Morning Star Psychotherapy Associates is a collaboration among several experienced counseling professionals, each with a slightly different focus. Drs. Norman and Bromley, the founders, have both been in practice since 1983. Kerry Wolfe and Rick Bronecki joined our practice in 2010.

We strive to help people who are hurting, by providing a respectful and responsive counseling relationship where clients' unique qualities and strengths are appreciated and fostered. We assist clients to find meaning, health, and peace. We respect clients' personal beliefs and questions. Though we view spirituality as an important and valuable source of strength and wholeness, spirituality need not be a focus of counseling.

Dr. Don Norman works to help individuals, couples, and families address the barriers that block meaningful relationships; he also is a provider of neurofeedback, addressing issues of concentration and focus, particularly important for school and work performance enhancement. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. Norman is a faculty member in the Counselor Education program at UW-Whitewater.  He has been in practice over 25 years.

Dr. Pat Bromley is a licensed psychologist who assists clients with relationship, personal growth, and mood issues. She has a special interest in bipolar disorder and in health-related problems and also does some psychological testing. She is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and has been in practice since 1983.  Dr. Bromley is a professor of psychology at UW-Platteville (her duties involve distance education). This is why the resume lists her UWP office address.

Kerry Wolfe is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children age 5 and older, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She holds state certification to provide domestic violence group treatment for men. She is a member of the Board of National Certified Counselors and the American Counseling Association.  Kerry has worked in domestic violence advocacy for victims and the developmentally disabled.  She specializes in trauma counseling, sexual abuse survivors (children and adult), and victims of domestic violence. She has been in practice since 2002.

Rick Bronecki has over 25 years experience providing alcohol and drug and mental health services on a national, regional, and local level.  He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Substance Abuse Professional, and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Rick also has the ability to provide Christian counseling if requested.

Dr. Jeff Cook has over 20 years of experience assisting in the process of healing, growth, and empowerment. He taps into resources of intuition and compassion to create a safe space for his clients to do the work they need to do. Using research-based therapeutic approaches such as psychodynamic theory and systems theory, he helps people to overcome obstacles and navigate the complexities of life. His clients deal with a wide variety of difficulties including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and panic, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, personality disorders, relationship issues, and emotional regulation issues.
