Her minor emphasis was in Women’s Studies. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling in an accredited program from the Counselor Education Department at UW-Whitewater. Kerry’s credentials include Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), and State Certified Domestic Violence Treatment Provider.
She has been accepted into the Military Family and Life Program as a consultant, but has not yet accepted any assignments, so she can dedicate her time to her current and future clients. She continues to work to expand her knowledge base by attending workshops and conferences.

Philosophy of Care
My philosophy of care is to be a person-centered therapist, attending to the individual needs and wants of each client. This requires building a solid therapeutic relationship with each person. I include a spiritual context to my therapeutic approach when it is appropriate, and rely on the morals and values of my faith to guide me.
By keeping an open mind, I use individualized techniques to assist clients in their therapeutic journey rather than using a “cookbook” approach of “one size fits all”. I have worked a great deal with clients as they work to heal from trauma, including childhood sexual abuse.
When working with couples and families, the aim is to assist my clients in reaching a richer relationship with one another, beginning with helping each to communicate better and to understand and empathize with the others with whom they seek a stronger relationship.
I am a high-energy, positive-focused person who believes in using this energy in sessions to bring about change, yet also know when compassion and empathy are necessary components for the client. I look forward to working with my clients and enjoy my job immensely. I work hard to be the best therapist I can be and continue to get excited when learning new ways to help my clients achieve their highest potential.
